One more session to go in my right calf. Feels like fire ants stinging me all over. No anti inflammatory allowed body is tearing that vein down.
Pain is just a weakness leaving the body. I took a few bumps of retatrutide to get the swelling down prior to take the swelling away caused by them.
I wish I would have got it done sooner. Interesting enough it was one vein that I had a lot clot in from a DVT in my calf after knee surgery in 2005. Oh yea the doc doing them was super hot and nice real gentle touch and told me she liked my shapely calves.

This honestly has to be the most uncomfortable painful thing I have ever encountered. I did not need the third round of injections. However, although it has settled down alot I have undergone 3 weeks of constant nagging stinging burning pain. Still got awhile to go but goddammit I should have gone to a vein clinic and got the fking ablation done.

Yea it was a varicose vein created by that DVT.

So they stripped the vein? My wife had that done when she was complaining about night-time leg cramps. No idea that could cause cramps but she no longer gets them.

I wish. 2 other options for varicose veins are stripping and the laser which immediately closes the vein. Probably both are painful as well and sure there is a ton of blood bruising. For my therapy they inject the vein in several areas with a 30 g needle around 5 cc total of a mix of 3 substances which are designed to inflame and close the vein. Then the body breaks it down based on the extreme level of inflammation.

Brother, I don't know your situation but when the wife had it done, it was a walk in the park. They put you under and she was back to work the next day. A little soreness where they cut and about five places with maybe a stitch in each. It's also cosmetically better.

Yea insurance wouldn't cover it. Luckily they covered this at 90% it was $900 per injection.

I just had this done this year: injection, radio frequency, and vein stripping. Also had a stent inserted in the groin area on the left side and balloon in the right side to stretch out. Overall, very satisfied with the outcome. Long history with DVTs leading to faulty valves. I appreciated the doctor at the leg vein clinic suggesting there might be an additional factor leading to CVI: Iliac vein insufficiency.

Not sure if all of your issues are resolved, but food for thought if not.

Have you had blood clot issues since this?

No but I'm on 5mg 2x/day Eliquis. No issues since then. I used to take warfarin, but that was a bitch. I stopped intermittently... Clot like an idiot. I have Factor V Leiden mutation so it's Eliquis for life.

After the first vein stripping I did have clots under one surgical site and squeezed out a ton of clotted blood in the shower. I could see it was raised and not healing as well as the other sites. Doc said I was doing her iob. That's it though.
