What we DO know is .... drum rollll.... his heart is way enlarged. So probably he used recs, but dont anyone be a clown and say oh its not gear. When those pecs grow, that heart grows. We have to show that we can own our shit.
All high level and most experienced athletes have enlarged hearts. Do you have evidence that his was unusually enlarged? Hypertrophy can be a sign of drug abuse too, but that's a tough one to use in an athlete.
Sure, the guy did abuse steroids, but again, it's more likely that recs got him. This was an overdose, not an acute MI (heart attack). Ischemia or endocarditis etc would be a good sign of heavy drug abuse to see if his heart was truly taking stress or some huge hypertrophy.
I am certainly not arguing that his steroid use might not have exacerbated his problems though. I am quite sure they did. Just stating that myocardial hypertrophy isn't as clear as a sign for steroid abuse
