Earlier this year, i was diagnosed with a large rotator cuff tear in my left arm (non dominant). Yay me. I wanted to have a nice summer so I just trained on it, then when it got too much to train on it, i just trained legs, hard.
So here we are i'm about 1.5 weeks out from the surgery. Surgery is on 11/6.
No idea how and when i tore it, but i was prescribed cipro for a UTI i had, and i took one or two doses before i realized what i was taking and what the side effects were. So i suspect it was comprised as a result of that cipro dosage i was taking. UGH. I knew i should have not taken it.

I've been dosing some GH at 2iu/per day (this is my 2nd week). Will up it to 3iu/day after surgery.

I've got some BPC 157 and also TB 500. Planning to run 250mcg/day of both. Still researching doses, but i think this might be what i do to start.

I plan to also increase my collagen intake post surgery.
Just picked up the ice machine the other day, this will be my new best friend right after surgery.
Taking 2 weeks off for work. I am a Program/Project Manager, so i sit at desk all day typing LOL.
I've gotten some loose fitting lounge pants and tops for post surgery. I need to go get me some slip on shoes. Might do that next weekend.
Next weekend, i plan to do my food prep. So all i have to do is put it into microwave for a meal.
Got pillows ready to prop arm up, but i think the sling has this big cushion on it.

I've already met my deductible for health insurance, so all i have to pay out of pocket is 10%. So looking at about $500-$600 US dollars is what i've estimated thus far. Yep, i have great insurance.

This is my 2nd RC repair surgery, had my right arm done in 2018. It has been doing great! Same surgeon doing my next surgery as did the previous, so im excited about that. He said that my new tear is worse then my other arm and that it is hanging on by a thread....don't know about that LOL.

I'm both nervous and also ready for this to be done. But also dreading the recovery......its sooooo looooong LOL. But i will be patient and listen to my body.

The only thing about my right arm, was that i swear my bicep is not as large as it was pre-surgery. So i'm worried about that on my left. I'm a body builder and hoping to do another show, probably not next year, but i think 2026 is achievable.

Thanks for reading and will keep log here as to how it is going.....

Sorry for you I have had both shoulders major overhauls on em, never been the same, LOOOOOOONNNGGGG assed recovery is right, keep the sling high eniugh that it is supporting the arm rather than dangling down at an angle like some of these morons I see, they won't ever really use there shoulder again anyway but you want to.
I used Gh only with my test and cranked legs like a mofo and did what I could with the unslinged arm.
Good luck with this and keep your chin up at least it is winter coming on.
Cheers
