What didn't you like with the Mastadon bar? I would like to try it. Haven't used a 65lbs bar. Train with my TSB. Were you able to train with a 65lbs bar in your prep?
Crazy thick and the grip seems low profile and not aggressive. It slide off my Back on my 2nd attempt. Crazy when that happens. Had a hard time keeping it in that low bar Groove/Shelf on my back. I felt like shit when it happened. No one or me knew it was going to happen either. Shot me forward... Loading all the lifts good and bad in google photos right now.

I would have guessed it had a very aggressive knurling with it being a 65lbs bar. My TSB has a very aggressive knurling (55lbs bar). I'm a low bar squatter too and I gotta dig it into my back.

Their Bars Grip must have been old or worn down. It's a 35mm Bar. Used to a Rogue Power Bar at 29mm and it's pretty new too.

Monday Bench Day
Set a new Bench PR with a 345lbs on Monday. Was really surprised thought my Raw bench went down. So this was good. Warm ups didn't even feel good and this is just 2 weeks after my meet.

Tuesday Squat Day
Tried to cont. this PR thing and Tuesday (yesterday) I tried for a Raw Squat PR. Wanted to reset some RAW numbers for a start of a new Strength program. These felt off from the start. Haven't walked out squats in a long time. I warmed up and hit a smooth and quick 500lbs. Then went for 560lbs. Just a 10lb Raw Gym record. As soon as I popped out of the hole it was gone. Maybe it was to big of a Jump, Maybe I just haven't hit heavy Raw enough or maybe I'm no where near hitting 560lbs. So I'm just going to split the difference and base my program off a 530lbs squat.


Trying to figure out how I can train Raw and still get in some Bench Shirt Training in. I'm ok on Equipped Deads and Squats. Won't take much more to dial those in. My Shirted bench really needs the work.

Try this

Wk 1- raw work
Wk 2- shirted triples
Wk 3- shirted singles

Warm up to a heavy raw weight and then shirt up afterwards on weeks 2 & 3
