Ok so I just picked up a little over 2 pounds of prime rib for about $32. I have no idea how to cook it. I have a roasting pan but its going to be tough to keep the prime rib up right where as its only 2lbs. I want to cook it med rare.. any suggestions? (i dont have a meat thermometer)

going to cook this, this afternoon

Go to bed bath and beyond, spend the 8.00 on a meat thermometer (shit even big lots has them).

Preheat oven to 450, roast for 10-12 minutes for that size and then about an hour 325 degrees but that's when I put 5-6 lbs in there.....you'll have to use the thermometer to assess.....season it, dry rub whatever you want. I grease up both ends with butter before I put it in for the first 15 mins.

DOnt roast it, Cut that sum bitch into steaks and grill it. Generous amount of salt pepper and fresh garlic. You only roast it if you curl in the squat rack! lol.
