here in Cali its getting worse by the day. I love this beautiful place, but hate what it has become. It should be broken up into 2 states imo, N Cali and S Cali. Thinking real serious about moving out of state maybe to Texas or some conservative state where i can cling to my guns and bible lol

right now where i live we have the strongest gun rights...We are not bowing to the feds...dw

Man...that is tough. Thoughts and prayers are with you brother.

But, to be a bit tough on both of us, we can not apply personal issues to a national problem. The government simply can not handle every issue as if they are our family or parent. (That is what they want us to think, but it simply can not be this way).

I have experienced similar tragedy and hardship - even to the point of sibling death. I didn't look didn't look then and I don't look now to any politician to heal those wounds or prevent the tragedy. And, I don't expect another family to bear the burdens that we have had to bear.

Again, I am deeply sorry for your issues. But Obama and Romney (dems nor repubs) can not fix that issue. They can temporarily relieve your issue BUT it is at someone's expense and at the expense of our country.

There is no way I can effectively relay what is in my heart and why I believe what I believe. As you said, it is personal. As such, it will only cause a deeper divide to try and sway each other.

But healthcare needs some serious revamping. I say this because of my daughter that has a cronic autoimmune issue. what will happen to her when she is no longer able to fall under my medical coverage having a pre-existing condition.

to get personal for a bit....because of her condition, my wife and I experienced thousands and thousands of dollars in out of pocket cost. Why do you ask...beccause according to the rules she did not fall into a particular category for coverage.

For example....to surpress her overly active immune system, she receives chemo therapy. unfortunately these chemo drugs destroy a woman's chances of having kids later in life. and with my daughter being a teenager, the coverage will not cover her eggs being havested. Now if she were married and age 21yrs (this is what we were told) she would have been covered. So what happened was that my wife and I had to pay $15,000 for the procedure and $1200 annually to store her eggs until she is ready to have my grandkids. I agree with the annual cost....but wish the cost of the procedure were shared by my insurer.

Now I can't say with 100% certainty, that Obama's healthcare plan will cover challenges like this, but IMO his plan addresses issues like this....more so than Romney's.

I live in Virginia. Ashley Judd went door to door in my friends' low-rent apartment complex asking for Democratic support in the polls.

Never once did I get more than one phone call to my house from the Obama campaign.

The Republicans, the Vote for Mitt Romney campaign and a slew of other right wing entities called my house for two months at least four times a day, clogging my voicemail to the point where some days family and friends couldn't leave messages.
One day they hit us up 7 times.

Just an observation...

I told several Republican calls "do not call me again or I will surely vote for someone else." Drove us crazy. As for the dems, no calls and no visitors. Maybe it was the 6' x 10' rebel flag in the front yard that kept them away. I hope not. It is simply heritage - not hate. LMAO

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers my friend, and right back at you with you and yours....but we never get more than we can handle....at least this is what they say.....hehehe

and yes....an argument can be made that the government can not resolve every issue.....heck there are situations much more challenging than our own. but i heard very little from Romney in regards to healthcare, which to me.......when i have to take my daughter every 2wks to a beauty parlor to have her hair peice redone because of the meds causing her hair to fall out, and hundreds of out of pocket cost for the monthly meds.....i lean more towards the one that addresses my plight.

not to mention the student loan foregiveness issue and a few other democratic ideas that appeal to a working class family.

Romney IMO just didnt appeal to me and i was opened to hearing what he had to say.

PS

its cool how this thread did not take a nasty turn. on many other boards, this thread would have been closed by now.

also, Raiden, we need you to change your avatar to the NY Giants. Come with me and help support another winning team.

it is cool like you say, that so many of us can disagree CIVILIZED and not get nasty about it, thats what it is all about. Even though i dont agree with you politically, I support your right to feel, think and believe that way. At the end of the day we all bleed red, white and blue.

as for me switching to the NY Giants, NEVER!!!!! Niner Nation!!! lol

Great minds think alike Brotha. Who gets more votes the guy who's givin away stuff or the guy who offers a job?

We have more people in America now that want Free-stuff instead of Free-dom. People don't want to be free to go earn their own own stuff. That is hard work. So, they have found it easier to vote their way into my stuff. Once this occurs, republics are in danger of collapsing into a welfare state. Then, the door is open to socialism.

When a person is left with nothing, a loaf of bread is better than no bread at all. And when that bread is handed to you by the government, you owe the government and learn to love the government. All the while, those that are in power live like kings and dictators. But you will have your bread and I will not have mine. So, you will be happy.

It always starts with the argument "you have more bread than I do. That is not fair." Government steps in to make it fair and we all get screwed in the end.

That is why we are all losers.

I am sure a whiner will come back and say, "But it is like that now. The evil corporations have everyone working for them!" That is total horse shit compared to the number of people on government assistance. That number includes the poorest person on food stamps all the up to the corporation that receives a subsidy. We have found that sucking the government tit is easier than managing our freedom. We must turn around.

The only way to fix this ECONOMY is for THE PEOPLE as a whole united system to ban together and stop looking at our goverment to fix problems but instead we need to fix the problems ....Its a very easy soultion to solving this economic crisis.

DO NOT SURPORT CORPORATIONS.Its bad enough we live in a corporate state. And once people realize this is what is killing the middle class then we can make progress in rebuilding our middle class staus again.Example...Back in the early 1900s and before then the county was built by small bussiness...That is what made the middle class strive.Small bussiness is the key to growth and jobs.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHINA.This one is the MAIN KEY to building this economy. If the people would stop buying products from china when they shop and only buy american made products then u are keeping our money in our economy....Plus u are saving american jobs by buying american products because then the demand for american products would increase.
We dont need the goverment to fix this problem ..We need americans to wise up and THINK...
Now of days people only worry about how cheap is a product and save money...Well,we can not compete against china cheap labor...We will pay more for american products but at the same time we are saving jobs and we are giving people the opportunity to open up a small bussiness without it failing because people are buying american made products...The demand would go up and the economy would start to grow.
Stop shoping at WALMART...Start shoping at local stores....Start looking at labels on products and check and see where it was made...These are just two simple ways just to make a diff in our economy. Its up to U and only U to make a diff...As i said dont wait for the goverment to fix it because facts are they wont because they want the whole world to be corporate so we all will lose of freedom and become a real slave under there ADMIRALTY LAW/JURISDICTION....dw

If they are spread out, they are easier to manage and help, re-educate, so to speak. Idiots surrounded by idiots just leads to more idiots.

The Red needs to secede from the Blue. I believe we are justified given that we would be "Escaping 'discriminatory redistribution', i.e., tax schemes, regulatory policies, economic programs, etc. that distribute resources away to another area, especially in an undemocratic fashion."

We agree! Pretty unusual, but nice. Red States prosper from Blue State welfare. End it. It is against Red Stater philosophy as best as I can gather.

States that get more money than they pay in:

We ALL need jobs. We should be able to give back to the country that has benefited us so well.

States where residents pay no income taxes

We should be able to afford food for our family.

States where residents lack money for food:

States with the highest infant mortality rates also against ObamaCare:

i understand what your saying but china is killing us on the free trade because of prices...we can not compete against china cheap labor...Only one way to nip it in the bud ...stop buying china products and buy american....I know this is one of the main reasons why we are loseing jobs....Of course your gonna spend more on american stock but at the same tokken your keeping the demand for american products up.Which means more jods and jod security...People need to surport their local small bussiness stores...If not then big corporate brother will soon be all thats left standing. Its heading that way now.And then the middle class will be dead...Its heading that way now by design. And those that bitch about jobs and the fuck up economy and buy china products dont have the right to bitch because they are surporting the un= fair free trade which is killing our retail.

This is the biggest bunch of horseshit I ever heard. American cars are bulit just as good, if not better then japanese cars, and they give great MPG as well. This is a big misconception. Google JD Powers and see what they say.. Buick actually tied with Lexus for 1st place on dependability, and cadillac and mercury outperformed Toyota and Honda. You should be supporting the BIG 3! Just my opinion..
