Pain in chest when turning left?

I find that when I turn to the right, say in a thoracic spine mobility drill, everything goes as expected. However, if I try to turn to the left and do it I feel a sharp pain. It’s a vertical line in the right side of the chest, around the inner edge of the right ribs. Similar results if I try to crack my back or turn to check my blind spot driving.

Any idea what the cause of this could be?

Rib out of place? I find sometimes with massage clients they will complain of similar pain and I'll rub along their rib line starting at the sternum and work my way around their ribs on their back and almost always find a rib out of place. With a little manipulation they will move back into place and pain is gone.

You could also have a impingement somewhere in your thoracic spine and need an adjustment.
