My wife an I got a huge chest freezer a few years back and we go to restaurant supply places when they have a big sale on beef (and whatever else) and fill that MF up...... Last year we got 42 lbs of thick cut bacon for 1.50 a lb......... and 14 rib eye roasts for 3 something a pound. A big old chest freezer is pretty reasonable in price too..... I recommend it.

I live in farm country. Half side of beef goes for $3.50-4.00 a lbs for all cuts.

I guess I'm going to be on a chicken leg quarters kick for awhile. 5 bucks for 10lb bag. Bought 3. Did pick up big beef roast for $3.49 pound. Yeah for your normal working family man it's gotten pretty tough.

Depends on how far I have to go. For the most part, if you live in a state that touches the ocean other than the Gulf of Mexico you cannot pay me enough to step foot there. Haha.

I put 4 deer in the freezer this year. I should have harvested a couple more, as I only have about 15 lbs left.
