Correct, Putin has ZERO “fear” of the US. He wants however, and always has wanted to be equal respect partners with the US for each others benefit.
Mutual respect goes a long way

I guess one of my points is this, who really needs to give a fuck if the rich get richer, as long as we as a whole are doing better off financially through stronger markets and an overall healthier economy?
I have a friend that supplies ALL of the corn syrup to PepsiCo AND Coca Cola products and has for a couple of decades he has more $$$$$ than most will ever see or be around in their lifetimes, he is a super nice unassuming guy, I don't care that he is getting more wealthy every minute of every day and you know what? He is not dwelling on that either but IF I owned stock in his company I would sure be pleased when stock was up.
So again give all the tax breaks to the people employing all the people that are making a great living so that they can pay taxes as long as we all are winning I don't see the problem.
if I was Trump for example and dumping all the $$$ into the New York economy as he was in he 80's and 90's and employing thousands of workers during that time ad bringing in thousands of tourists during that time to stay in his hotels etc, then fuck it IMO opinion he doesnt need to pay any taxes.
Few people are willing to put that much money out there and take those risks.
Look at the big picture.
Now FT lets face it we def don't agree on things in this arena but you seem like a smart guy (although misguided ) so keep it coming.

Corporate tax rates aren't a hill I would die on. Because again the picture is murky. We could each point to statistics proving one thing or another. Things can be good or bad during times of high tax rates or low tax rates. Because the president is along for the ride and is only able to nudge things a little one way or the other.

My main point is that Trump will now start prioritizing the issues of the wealthy. Trump is worried about Trump.

It's sad because all they had to do was guarantee that Ukraine wouldn't be allowed in NATO.
TB you know a lot about Russia so wanted to ask what is your take on Ukraine? Obama and the CIAs coup against the democratically elected Russian favored president Yanukovych of Ukraine in 2013.

America always has to have a bad guy to distract from the real problems everyone faces. Russia China Iran N. Korea etc.

Obama and Trump have funded Ukraine since 2013 and Trump has promised to end it on day 1. But recently Trump stated he would back Ukraine with tons of weapons and aid to crush Russia.
Putin has him in a pickle because if Trump escalates the war he is going back on his promise to end the killing.
JD mentioned part of the deal will be no Ukraine in NATO promise.
Russian I assume wants the territory it has taken including Crimea.

That’s a decent article by CATO.
The conflict is of 100% American fault.
Putin is not the “bad guy” by any means.
There’s really no better, accurate account of details to it all than the interview Putin had with Tucker. Viewing the first hour is most informative, and perhaps most specifically the 2nd 1/2hr of that portion. Highly recommend.
Putin can be taken at his word on the matter.

TB, notice that Trump is filling his cabinet with Bush Jr style neocons? Little Marco, a guy who has never seen a war he didn't like, is going to get tapped for state. Haha..

Trump has gone full on neocon.

Trump = Endless war (just like every other sold out corporate owned president)

Sadly so. All bow to Israel too. We’ll be going to war with Iran, but hopefully Trump won’t be so game to listen to his MIC bosses tugging on his nutsack to try and coax him to play tough guy against Putin. I’m already concerned as it is, that when the US / Israel go hard against Iran, what Putin “may” do.

And re: Rubio, here’s a fun little tweet from Trump back in 2015:

Watch now as all the Trumpies reinvent themselves into noecons. Whatever the red cult master says is true, must be true.

I am not so sure that Trump will engage in military action against IRAN. It would happily send oil pricing to 5$ plus a gallon in an economy trying to lower energy costs and reduce inflation. Who knows what Putin will do. Let's just say he won't come to the table and Trump dumps a few billion in aid to Ukraine and if Trump hits Iran could be the boiling point for WW3 and ruins his no new war mantra.

A worse case potential.

Trump has a 4 year track record that says the opposite. Just sayin.

Stefanik (UN ambassador) - not a neocon
Zeldin (EPA) - not a neocon
Homan (border czar) - not a neocon
Wiles (chief of staff) - not a neocon
Miller (deputy chief of staff, policy) - not a neocon
Noem (DHS) - not a neocon
Patel (CIA) - not a neocon
Grennel (not sure where he's going) - not a neocon

Rubio (Secretary of State) - was a neocon. He and Trump have gotten onto the same page after term 1 (just like Vance). Time will tell.

I think you are using a different grading system.

Recently a nuclear test was noticed in Iran. Honestly. I sincerely hope Iran has nukes soon. If nothing else to act as a counter against the true Axis Of Evil: America, Britain and Israel. That genocidal imperialistic trio of war mongering countries that feel they own the world.

If Iran can demonstrate a multistage nuclear delivery system then Israel and the United States of War will come to the table. Peace through deterrence.
