This is the second time my Cars have been totaled by another driver. This happened Friday and still freaking out. I am physically OK but the psychological effects are terrible.

How do you fit in a KIA ya big brutus?

Sorry to hear of this, MG! I remember when you posted a few years back about your Chally getting totaled.

I’m glad you are ok. In December 2020 I was on my way to work when I got hit on the freeway. Flipped and rolled until I hit the wall. Broke both bones in right forearm as well as other minor injuries. 21 days later, I finally rented a car and tried to go back to work. One mile west of the first collision a young girl decided that hitting me was a better option than an empty cardboard box and smashed the rental. I still flinch when people get next to me and move at all.

Damn bro. I'm sorry to hear it. As long as your health is in tact everything else is replaceable. I know, we hear that shit all the time, but it's kinda true. Hopefully they were insured.

Glad you are OK. That's most important. Make them replace the vehicle, or if they cash you out argue that price. Insurance will try to cheat you. You shold not have to come out of pocket at all.

Should go see a doctor too. Just to have it there in case things start to hurt or whatever. I got rear ended one evening and seemed fine. Walking and moving normally. Woke up the next morning and couldn't move. Had to take 600mg ibuprofen and wait 30 minutes to still barely be able to get out of bed. Went to physical therapy for weeks, chiropractor, massage. Had their insurance calling me telling me basically I was faking it. Fucking insurance assholes.

I still see a chiropractor 3 times a week just to feel good and have somewhat normal range of motion.

Doctor told me I could have surgery. Fuck that. I'll keep seeing chiro until that no longer works then decide.

If I had known this would be the results I'd have gotten a top lawyer and sued them for over a million. Their insurance should still be paying my chiropractor bills, not me.

Thanks all. To me the car is irreplaceable. 2019 kia stinger GTS only made 800. One time deal. When I have more time I will tell the story. Luckily I was not going more than 25 mph. If the guy hit me at 45 mph like a guy did in my charger I would be dead.
The value of that car is 45k garage kept barely over 6000 miles. I have been looking and it's dry and expensive as hell out there now. And oh yea FCK Carvanna.

Sorry brother. I mean it is bad enough to have that happen to you, but even worse that it happened now with the way the market is going. I could put my truck up for sale right now and get more than I paid for it and it wouldn't be on the market more than 24 hours. The problem is I would not be able to find a suitable replacement without paying a premium.

It looks like they want to repair it based on the status in my insurance app. Probably cause the car is worth over $40 k. Not sure how things will go with supply chain issues. But I could be without the car for a long time. Plus the car still had that new car smell and interior was perfect so I am sure it's going to be trashed ripping out the dash to put in air bags etc. But that's to be expected based on the accident.
