I'm a different kind of cat and I live under biblical teachings when it comes to how I interact with other people. Here are two verses that I try to live by. Yes they are talking about God & Faith but very easily for me to translate into daily life.
Matthew 7:12
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
You would not want others to do something that would bring you harm when they could do something to avoid it
Romans 14:21
"It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble."
If I do something that in turn causes harm to someone else that is not being a good caring human so I choose to wear a mask.
For me it is not a political statement nor is it to look down on others that are not wearing a mask because that again is their choice and I will not criticize others I just feel that for me it is the right choice.
*** I'M NOT LOOKING TO STEP ON ANYBODY'S TOES.
