Hi!
New here just back on a health kick and body building journey after a long hiatus and wanted to chat with like minded people.
currently taking semiglutide, finally, which had a lot of info on dosing etc but i'm just wondering if any of you have any guidance about max doses, only had slight nausea at the beginning of cycle which has lifted.
Any advice about what i should be trying to get in my diet, any other helpers i could add to my regime?
thanks so much!

Welcome

The best practice is to use the minimum dose possible to achieve your desired goals, so max dose really isn't something discussed often. If the current dose works for you, keep it there until it doesn't then increase it slightly until it works again. What I have found with these compounds, smaller frequent doses have less side effects than once or twice a week injections. If you are taking 2 mg a week then 250 mcg a day is better than 2 mg once a week or 1 mg twice a week.

You still have to eat. Set your protein intake at around 1 gram per pound of lean bodyweight and fat between 50-60 grams per day. Carbohydrates will fill in the rest of your calories. Clean, whole foods. No processed foods. If you cannot kill it, grow it or pick it, don't eat it.

I've used the Semi and you have to be very careful about going up to fast. If you are having stomach pain, nausea, acid reflux, I would suggest that you stop taking it until they subside and start out low again. NEVER increase your dose with any of those symptoms as you may well be on your way to a massive stomach ache that feels like a bowling ball is in the upper half of your abs. That happened to me 3 times and I waited it out for approx. 6 hrs. You can not get comfortable at all, no sleep, and you will feel like shit for several days. I switched to Ret. and am having much better results, much easier to manage.

The general rule is to start at 0.25mg/week, administered once per week. Like GF said, you can certainly take 0.125mg (half the starting dose) 2x/week if you wish. Generally, that dose is maintained for 4 weeks. But as GF stated, if you're progressing at that dose there is no reason you can't stay there and continue.

Generally, after 4 weeks, the dose is increased to 0.5mg/week, and maintained for another 4 weeks. Then increased again (I've seen recommendations to increase to 1mg/week, but I dont' see why you can't instead increase to 0.75mg/week for another 4 weeks. And the process continues.

The max dose I've seen is a little over 2mg/week. I've never increased my dose over 0,75mg/week, and I'm a relatively big guy. I think low and slow is the best course. Good luck and welcome to TID!

This is what I’ve seen as the recommended schedule as far as dosing goes.,

Yes and no. As far as regular eating, I didn't want to eat and had a hard time getting food down even on contest prep, so I stopped. However, when ghrelin reared its ugly head, binge eating was still well within the realm of possibility. Even using the newer stuff, retatrutide. If I get woken up in the middle of the night from the ghrelin monster, I am still going to smash some junk.

I would say that if a lower dose it working, then keep it there. If it is doing well, then there is no need to go on a set schedule of increases. Wait until it stalls, then increase.

At first I had diarrhea then I couldn't shit. I ended going and getting a colonic once a week. That was different... Did it for 5 weeks, it works. Just started shitting regular after 5 weeks...

Anyone know the refrigerated shelf life on these GLP thingies once reconstituted? To get the best deal, you have to buy higher dose vials, and if starting out, one 16mg vial could potentially need to last 8 weeks (Reta).

For hCG, I take one 10,000iU vial and put three doses in each syringe, freezing the unused ones. This absolutely preserves potency. Would the same trick work for Reta, or would freezing damage it?
