I am 58 years old I've been lifting for years testosterone levels are good I cycle once or twice a year. I am not a bodybuilder as far as shows are concerned I am an advocate of staying healthy and muscular. My biggest thing over the last five plus years I cannot seem to get below 10% body fat anymore. Eating healthy lots of protein keep my carbs in check and eat healthy fats. I hate cardio and I know that would definitely help but I do walk almost every day I'm not a runner. I have tried different things to "burn" fat and I never really see much out of any of the peptides or whatever else is out there.

I've used GH now and again but it's been a while. If I use GH would there be enough benefit versus cost just strictly for the fat loss? I know GH is not a fat loss drug per se but overall people that use GH and lift and eat healthy generally or a lot leaner.

Would using GH at a high dose five plus units a day have any more benefit to help with leaning out versus say two units a day? To me the cost is and it is not a factor. I honestly thought about getting liposuction just to clean up my midsection even though my abs show a little bit I just can't seem to get that super lean look anymore. So $6,000 or more for liposuction or liposculpting I guess they call it or GH and waiting it out.

Would really like some of the veteran peeps ideas and thoughts. The business I'm in I have to stay in better shape it's just the older I get the harder it is to get out there and really kill the cardio. I lift heavy and hard I do a 5x5 workout focusing on big muscle groups and then secondary muscle groups on the second workout of the day such as tricep shoulders biceps etc. I do 25 sets of exercises per body part and then the second workout listed above is for the smaller muscle groups. I'm not overtraining because my muscles are a little bit sore but not fatigued. And yes could I lift harder and heavier yes but I don't think that is going to benefit me for fat loss the way I'm hoping. I am open to all suggestions.

I actually disagree on intensity not benefiting fat loss. I see it time and time again when guys start dropping intensity in the gym during prep, fat loss stalls. 6-8 hard, take it to the grave sets are going to use more energy than 20+ easier sets. EPOC is real.

As far as GH. Yes, the more you use the more fat loss you will see. I used to think it didn't matter than much until I went up to 18 iu on training days (2 days on 1 day off) and I leaned out A LOT during my growth phase pushing food to the highest it has ever been.

From my experience, I had not had any issues with keeping lean, although maybe at the 10% range like you, but I have a flat stomach, some abs. I always thought it might be beneficial to have a little when I was younger cos I prefer the fuller look, but at 51 yo, I just maintain but I am so thankful I put in over 30 years in the gym, as it is not as hard to maintain a good size and form with a mostly clean diet from food I make and some which I grow. I may take the spouse for a dinner night out on the weekend; but we generally prefer to make our own meals.

My better got a mini-lipo and it looks good. It is not as expensive, but you still have to go through the fibrosis therapy which will take months for the skin to reattach itself. We invested in our frequency, EKG-looking machine and gel to assist with the fibrosis regeneration.

Hope this helps brother.

Thank you very much for the feedback and I may have misspoke when I talked about intensity but. I have done, many years back, more what I would consider high intensity workouts and thank you for the epoc reference I totally agree there because of the boost of your metabolic rate for many many hours after the workout. I just can't work out at that intensity level anymore. Part it's mental part it's arthritis I have such bad arthritis in my feet and my hands now that some days it's hard to just hang on to a bar. The workouts in how I'm doing them now I rest very little during my sets so most of my workout is more based around effective reps but I still hit 25 sets overall. Maybe the intensity is there but I know I can always do more. But I can say by the my 4th and 5th round of five exercises it is everything I have to get the weights to move. I do not spend 2 hours in the gym I do not rest very much between sets or I should say rounds of sets. I rest zero other than transitional rest from exercise to exercise. I just can't get the fat off. And I know yes I can do more I just am having trouble and wanted to get y'all's feedback. 18 units a day for ghs a little far outside my financial wheelhouse at least for a very long and I don't want to do something short-term and not see the gains but still spend the money.

My trouble fat spots are on my mid to lower back. My midsection in front abs show somewhat some days are better than others. I'm on test, Deca and dbol which I am retaining some water but generally was always leaner than this. I used to weigh 300 lb of fat so I still have some loose skin so that takes away from the appearance someone but damn I have been much much leaner in the past going back 15 years. I guess without just beating around the bush I was looking for the magic bullet. Holy shit I just turned into one of my clients lol. No seriously I was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what to add to just get that little edge and maybe push the motivation also. Sucks getting older I'm rolling into 60 way too soon. And not saying that there are 60-year-olds on here that are not jacked I'm still a fat kid inside.

Yeah. I am in the same boat as we age definitely tougher. Magic bullet..nope.
I have tried everything to reduce the lower back fat and even when I competed I still had a tough time. 53 yrs old here and only thing that has helped somewhat is carb cycling and pushing fat loss thru more intense training and extra cardio. May not be the best way but only thing that has helped me.

Hey guys I really appreciate it. I'm going to have to make some adjustments in my cardio I guess. God I just hate cardio. It's so boring and tedious.

I know there's no magic bullet I just always I'm looking for a little bit of an edge. I eat well I exercise it's just gotten so much harder.

These are some older pictures but what I wouldn't give to be this lean again

I would continue to run the deca with your arthritis. The extra water is not going to be that bad, plus you are going to be able to push harder in the gym than if you weren't taking it, which is going to be your biggest driver of fat loss. However, the d-bol, I would ditch for something like anavar or even anadrol. If your E2 is even slightly above reference range 50+, it can make very difficult to pull the fat off. Some guys can get away with it, but in my observations coaching quite a few guys with higher aromatization even when super lean, when their E2 climbs above 50, they stop losing bodyfat.
