I do deadlifts and rack deads in my back routine and zero shrugs anymore. My traps are thick and stick out more in my shirts than ever.
Ditto....
Traps are a large and very powerful muscle. Sometimes it will take extreme weight to make them grow. I also like static holds on rack pulls. Helps build grip too!
