Muscle soreness where glutes meet the hamstrings?

Whenever I do squats, glute bridges, pull throughs or RDLs, Im sore not in the glutes but right below them, where they meet the hamstrings. If it’s a day they’re not sore when I try to flex my glutes I feel the flex in the glutes. When I’m sore I feel it only where the hamstrings meet them - presumably because it’s tight.

Any ideas why this is? My best guess is poor mind muscle connection?

What does your training consist? Are you doing stiff-legged dead lifts?
