Can you tolerate yogurt? They have these little 7 oz yogurt drinks that have between 22 and 27G protein each. I have had any gastrointestinal issues unless I drink it super fast.

Chicken breast, 97-99% lean ground turkey, cod, tuna, flounder, flank steak, egg whites (not sure with your GI issues if that will work), bison, 96-97% lean ground beef, salmon, etc...

2 cups of egg whites, 2.5 scoops of protein, 8 oz of ground turkey or bison, 8 oz tuna or whitefish, 8 oz of flank steak or salmon and 2 cups of egg whites is what I eat each day. With the incidental protein I get from rice and potatoes, I am getting 350 g of protein.

I'm a beginner so I've never been in a point where I had to eat that much. I'm not playing pretend it's just shocking.
If you're just shooting for 1.6g/kg, you don't have to be taking in as much protein as GF, whose a national level competitor. If you're 100kg (220 pounds), that's not small, and that's just 160g of protein per day.

I'd consider taking in 1.6g/kg of your target body weight. So where do you want to land? And use that as your daily protein intake.

So this is where there's a nuance that I'm not sure about. I am overweight quite a bit. I've heard it's better to bulk before you cut if you're at this stage that I'm at because building the muscle will be easier when you have the fat supply. My height and my build I think about 210 240 lb is my ideal weight that's 95 to 108 kg. I actually with almost 200 kg.

So do I eat for what my ideal weight is or for what my weight actually is? I assume it's just based on what the scale says since it just says per kilogram of body weight.

Okay well I already started responding before I read the entire post but thank you that's really the information I was looking for. If that's the case I'm getting very close to my amount of protein I just need to make sure that that's consistent.

Thank you for the advise

Do you have a sam's or costco near you? I go and get a cheap rotisserie chicken or two, take the meat off and put it in baggies. When I want a snack I grab a baggie of delicious roasted chicken.

I have access to grocery store rotisserie chickens and they are tasty. And quite cheap. That's a fantastic idea I might start doing that.

I guess these more simple approaches is what I'm looking for because I was sitting here thinking I go buy a whole bunch of raw chickens saw them out and cook them all and do that once a week it would wind up being more expensive
