Deadlifts
455 x 6 x 4 reps, powered them off the ground. The reality is that I was all over the place on my form today, though I improved over the workout and my last set was my best one.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Squat
485 x 5 sets x 3 reps!

These were brutal, but my leg muscles became increasingly engaged over the workout and my best set was the last one! All reps were well below parallel!

I thought I injured my shoulder doing a 385 lb bench press as my second lift during my meet last Saturday. My shoulder went haywire and the muscle spasmed right at the joint. Felt like something seriously went wrong so I quit my meet. After a few days of moving it around and doing some stretches, it felt a lot better. One week later it is as though nothing happened except maybe I slept on it wrong and there is almost no pain. I think I can say I didn't injure it. Lucky me! I'll start posting in my journal again soon. . . .

Thanks for asking bud. It is about 90% better. I am pretty sure I had a muscle spasm and didn't injure it seriously. I really lucked out!

Training is going well and I am making good gains. I'm competing again next weekend in a strongman competition. Wish me luck!

I competed and took 4th place out of 5, but the competitors were all young and very strong, so 4th is respectable.

Monday I deadlifted 585 lbs for three sets of doubles
Tuesday I overhead push pressed 160 lbs x 6 sets of 8 reps.

Training is going very well. I am getting stronger all the time and am leaner every year. I have the beginnings of a six pack and by summer hope to be shredded and 210 lbs.
