. . . . And Sex...my apologies, not looking for details....please no...just asking when can I resume this activity . . . .
Anticipating various surgeries on various bodyparts before I die ... trying to learn here:

My vague memories of S-E-X are that 2 partners can connect in various ways, and that those would determine the possible problems, and solutions, the lonely + lovelorn need consider?

(I don't know any details) :(

So tentatively scheduled for TLIF surgery in February. This is the earliest I can get with my chosen MD. Level he believes L3-L4. Possible 2 to 3 days in the hospital. I should not need a rolling walker. Hopefully, not even a freaking cane. Ideally, he wants 6 months additional to allow the bone graft to fuse/heal...because of my lifstyle and type of job....which means 8 months total out of work. Long time.

What I would like to ask, when discharged, how did you manage at home, or did you discharge to in-patient rehab ?

And Sex...my apologies, not looking for details....please no...just asking when can I resume this activity.

And oh....he said first 3 months..no Physical Therapy......just walk.
I was released straight home and had to sleep on the ground floor of my home as stairs weren't possible. Walking was all I was told to do for the first 3 months but after 6 wks I was biking 8 miles to work, granted I did have an amazing brace that was fitted for me in the hospital. Sex was painful for awhile but a bj didnt hurt one bit the day after I got home. Best wishes with a smooth and successful surgery!

Yes but wouldn't have been able to do it without the brace I had, biking was my only means of transportation at the time. I'm hoping your surgery and recovery go well brother, keep us posted!

Surgery is in 2wks. Getting the house and myself ready. Before asking police, wanted to know if anyone has an idea if it is legal to walk with a Sword Cane

First 3 months, I am to walk only....no Physical Therapy until Month 3. With all the unexpected stuff going on....I like to secure my posture without gun play.

ALIF hybrid March 21st. Fuse L5/S1 and Prodisc L L4/L5. Doc said 3 months in a brace then back in the gym and start working up. At 6 mo could go sky diving if I wanted. A friend used the same docs, hybrid as well from S1 - L3. Was back squatting at 3 mo, light. Will update as I go. Glad I had the prostate HoLEP in Sept. Bladder capacity and flow like I was 20, sleep through the night (aside from L5 pain and f'd up shoulders) but one less issue to deal with.

Sword cane legal in Texas. Hell you can carry a medieval broadsword on your back legally in Texas now. Cali, I am gonna say they will put you in jail for 25 years. They will let a violent MS13 gang member out to make room.

In California, it is definitely illegal, can be charged as a felony or misdemeanor. Officers are taught to always arrest as a felony, up to DA whether to drop it to a misdemeanor. Consult the laws of your own state.

Tasers are legal and I imagine turning a cattle prod into a cane wouldn't take too much engineering lol. I really hope you have a successful surgery!
