It might calm down?

I mean i had flare ups like this before back in day with stairmaster or some type of workout.... but i couldve pushed a little hard friday and it came post..... point is i hope i get good by tuesday max.... just not hoping got worse

As my spinal specialist told me, until I am willing to get mine repaired, stay away from exercises that might cause a whole lot of extra stress on the spine......ie. squats/deadlifts, jogging/sprinting. The bike is going to be better than steppers, treadmills or stair masters. You can prolong this as long as you can deal with the pain but eventually at your age you will have to have surgery. Probably yours is not getting worse. Most likely a nerve got trapped and it will eventually release.

gio, one little bit of good news is that your MRI was done withOUT gadolinium. Google can tell you about it .... it's a contrast dye that has sometimes been used in MRIs. Like everything else, it may or may not bring mild side effects, but more recent research indicates less common sides can occur that are anything but mild. And, the damn stuff stays in the body for a while. Doesn't help your symptoms any, but good news in the world of spines is hard to find.

Try to get your doctor to prescribe you some Gabapentin. Among other thinks it is indicated for the management of neuropathic pain. I have crushed disks between my L4 and L5 and manage but sometimes the pain is pretty bad. I take one of these (300mg) and there is a very strong reduction in the pain. Aside from that you may be due for another x-ray. Its not addictive and the side effects are minimal. I get slightly drowsy.

I tried that, didn't work...
