I would like to hear from trt users over the long term who are using non bodybuilder doses. What positive and/or negative changes have you noticed over x years?

I personally feel that trt usage has saved my life in many ways. I am an ectomorph and somewhat of a hard gainer that most likely had naturally low levels of test. I'm not 100% and maybe it's a placebo. But test made me feel alive, in the moment and very much in control of my destiny.

Since I have been staying on the past several years I'm starting to notice my voice deepen, something that never occurred while I was cycling. I'm not sure if this also can happen with age? Regardless my mental and physical energy levels have a very solid and constant state of alertness which I'm quite certain is very much heightened by my test levels.

The main negative I am dealing with now is prostate enlargement. I made another post to discuss that however.

Feel free to share your thoughts on how stable, consistent trt usage has changed your life.

I have been using anabolic steroids for over 45 years now. TRT for the last 20. Can't say I feel any of this stuff many guys claim they feel, I just feel normal. I do remember in the beginning when it was popular to do 16 weeks on and 4 weeks off with powerlifting. I usually never made the 4 weeks and felt like shit by week 3 and started back. Strength went down, size went down and I just generally felt shitty. From the research I have read, which is a lot, TRT does not cause the prostate to enlarge. In fact, low testosterone can do much more damage. Prostate usually increases in size due to age. But I do track PSA every 6 months and do blood work every 3 months for probably the last 15 years. Helps avoid any issues. So again, TRT has not changed my life at all, it just enables me to be normal because my hormone levels are balanced.

This is what I wanna know. The people I know IRL have tried their best to screw with blood results to get the most prescribed from Dr....all have BP medications now.

Very few practice moderation even with legit TRT.

This has been the case sine the term HRT started back in the early 2000's. Guys got into drug free competition claiming they were on HRT but were just full of shit. Now days a whole lot of bros claim they are on TRT when they are actually on a full blow cycle. TRT is only the amount you need to balance your hormones.

In that case without trt you would never be "normal". So it did change your life for the better.

I never really knew what it was like to not be on TRT or anabolic steroids, started in 1980. Even when I was competing I did a blast/cruise year round, only came off 2 times in my life for a total of 3 weeks each time.....it sucked. I always had testosterone as a base and added 1-2 low dose anabolics for a blast. Even at the peak of my career I never did more than 250mg of test e/week. Never did any PCT in my entire life. Having low T is not normal, even if you are totally drug free and old like I am. Having your hormones balanced is normal and healthy. My life has not changed for the better, it has remained the same but unfortunately still feel my age. I always get a laugh reading these TRT boards, here and else where when guys post all of these amazing things they "feel" when they start TRT. Definitely the placebo effect. The lack of testosterone can cause issues, the main one I am concerned about is the body’s ability to build and maintain muscle tissue. Balancing your hormone levels it prevents issues. I don't wish to look my age. So has my life changed for the better? No, it has always been the same. I found an optimal blood testosterone level where I have no unwanted side effects and stay with it.

No, hypogonadism will cause quite a few serious health effects including depression. I have never had hypogonadism, I however, was smart enough to understand that after 40+ years of using anabolic steroids that I no doubt will experience hypogonadism if I stopped using anabolic steroids, because I shut myself down. So, I put myself on TRT. Later on down the road I got sold a worthless UG testosterone and my blood levels dropped to a clinical low T (<300ng/dl). So I thought it would be kind of cool to be legit for once in my life since steroids were made a felony in 1980. I quickly found out I knew much more about TRT than my doctor did so I continue to do my own. I have never felt more energy, libido, anger or anything else doing anabolic steroids no matter what the dose. I have always had lots of energy, mental sharpness, high libido and high aggression all of my life. Nothing has changed other than getting older. I still go to the gym 4-5 days a week for an hour or more. Still out work harder than all the young guys in the gym, most likely because I am not attached to my cell phone.

Again, I think all guys that have low T need to be on TRT. If you are doing it because your life sucks, you need to fix your life 1st.

TRT is great. No negatives, all positive. I have done a lot of cycles over the years. Not as many as Big Tex, but probably around 50-55 total cycles since 2001. I usually kept them short, 8-12 weeks at a time with at least that time off. I noticed I wasn't recovering anymore, so I had my test levels checked and total test came back at 4 with a free test of less than 1. Doctor placed me on 100 mg of test cyp 2x a week, which I eventually changed to 25 mg ED. The doctor was hesitant at first, but saw my health markers improved with daily micro IM injections vice 2x a week of 100 mg. Test levels stayed about the same 750-800 ng/dl.

I have been focusing on mitochondrial health a lot over the last couple months and noticed my total test jumped about 30%. I am currently running 40 mg of test cyp a day and 20 mg of primo. Typically my total test would hit 1400-1500 ng/dl at that dose, but it is coming back at 2002 ng/dl. It will be interesting when I come back down to TRT doses what the labs say.

My doctor literally said NO WAY when I told him I was going to be micro-dosing. He also was totally against sub-q injections. Now he has lot of questions and actually listens when I go in. Yep, my health markers improved greatly too.

I'm 63 and on and off since 27. I don't think I was normal at 25. I was a madman. However, I did take long periods off, 1 yr, 3 yrs and close to 10 yrs. My system always snapped back in time, the brain fog went away, some of the strength came back as well as my drive towards my goals. What pushed me back into it in my late 40s was my metabolism was slowing down and I couldn't eat enough nutrition to fuel my life style without putting on fat. Now at my age I feel my supplementation and mild cycling helps me keep the vitality that I would not have at my age. I still came off for 12 - 16 weeks well into my 50s and I still snapped back well into normal levels but after that it took longer and longer. I'm afraid I'm happily stuck in this mad game of chemistry until I'm done in this life. Testosterone is awesome. It's literally why we aren't women. I was never woman-like and I plan to never be even if my prostate grows into a coffee cake.

How old are you ? If your Nick's age you have no business taking anything without a Dr.'s guidance. Did you read your buddie Nick's post? 10 wks on sarms and he's all fucked up. Is that what you want?

He is in his 40's. He posted that in another post about his prostate.
