Great Article! One of my favorite things about Platz was that he performed full ROM squats. unlike many BBers today. And he had arguably some of the best sets of legs in bodybuilding

He was certainly an inspiration to me. I have that type of build myself somewhat - short, bottom-heavy, huge legs, barrel chest, relatively narrow clavicles, thick trunk, etc.

Of course my legs have never been quite THAT freaky, and I've never been quite that bottom-heavy.

I've always enjoyed the hell out of training the most demanding bodyparts like legs and back and going balls to the wall on the hard exercises - squats, leg press, machine squats, hacks, deads, bb & t-bar rows, pullups, etc.

Loved Platz's balls to the wall training ethos and on stage he had a magnetic presence and must be one of the most vastly underrated posers of all time

Hugely inspirational legend, great guy and legendary physique
