You can do a lot for free with YouTube videos, plus Spotify has free books and songs you can sing your heart out too!!

I believe Duolingo is free and I hated it, I downloaded and paid for this mondly app and love it. Whatever Latin language you learn, lots of words sound the same, but are spelled differently.

Thanks brother! I'm going to look into it. Hopefully they have a small free trial run. $60 for a year isn't bad at all if I don't get frustrated and quit.

Is it just learning the language or it there a lot of reading and writing in that language? I have no need to be able to read a newspaper in Spanish but want to be able to use it to communicate.

So the one time life time price is it. you can do monthly, but why.

it’s learning words, flash cards, listening, and then you have speaking lessons.

Ok brother, I went all in on their lifetime special. I used it last night for about 30 min and this morning for about 20 min. This maybe exactly what I was looking for! Again, thank you.
Awesome! Good luck! I’ve been doing it daily since November. I really like they have daily catch up, flashcards, writing, and speaking exercises. The only other tip is these Audio books from Paul Nobel which I listen to while driving.

My wife is from Mexico. I can't speak Spanish for nothing! I have tried & tried and it will not penetrate this hard head. In my previous marriage, we vacationed in the Dominican and Mexico so I tried a "Coffee Break Spanish" podcast lessons. I'd put on my headphones and mow the yard or other things around the house. Never failed, by the 3rd lesson, I had tuned out and didn't remember diddly.

So with 2 months in of steady use, where you at? Happy with the progress?

I hit lesson 1-3 yesterday. Today I did a review one 1-3 and added in 4. Tonight I'll redo 1-4 and add in 5.

Literally… level 12 lol… the App is great for reviewing words and learning new ones, and tests your speaking. I also bought an A1 workbook and do that along with flashcards, and listening to Italian when driving. I need to say, focus on the alphabet and learning it first. Then say each letter when you spell words. You’ll grow your language speaking fast. Also, Some weeks you’ll just feel stupid and others you’ll be on fire lol..

I just hit level 2 and feel even more stupid than when I started. lol I do see they just threw in spelling  What I can see being a problem is the words in past, present and future tense. My son had Spanish in H.S. for 2 years so he kinda helped with my pronunciation since I was getting the Wrong you dumb ass. "Dad, 2 Ls in Spanish is pronounced like a J in English. Well fuuk, someone should have told me that 2 hr. ago
