It's my understanding that the Harris campaign will unveil its VP nominee today, and that the list has shrunk down to Shapiro (Gov. of PA) and Walz (Gov. of MN). My money is on Shapiro. The guy has a reputation of being very competent, and won the Gov. of PA by large margins. That means he has a good chance of moving the needle for the Harris campaign for PA, which is a big state, and needed by both candidates.

The fact that he's not a slam dunk is crazy. Apparently, being a Jew is a negative thing for the Dems. When did the party take crazy pills? Jewish voters have been a solid voting block for the Dem party for decades. In any event, I think he gets the nod, because Walz is a complete ding-a-ling. He's presided over MN going down the toilet for years. A complete progressive squish.

Could be. They have already lost the pro Palestine voters so why not?
I think it will be Mark Kelly. Expect another bump in the polls with the media dream fest of their ultimate ticket. The shit that is going down now will define who is ultimately elected in November. Market crash and war with Iran and who knows what else.

Id still like to see her pick a middle of the road honest Republican like James Lankford or Mitt Romney , you want to unite the country , form a coalition.

It's now public that the Harris campaign has selected Walz. I'm very surprised.

Shaprio was a much tougher opponent for the Repubs than Walz. They must have been worried that the jew-haters were going to riot at the convention. Really hard for me to understand otherwise.
My guess with Shapiro and the anti-Israeli sentiment thats growing from the war among libs and progressives , shes trying not to upset the apple cart with a safer pick. That still sucks.

At least Shapiro has maintained his political viability for 2028.

Mark Kelly would have been a good pick, for at least trying to mitigate the Dems weakness on the border. But his spy balloon venture that received healthy funding from Tenacent (Chinese company with ties to the CCP) might have killed his chances.

Yeah for sure that whole spy balloon thing was a kick in the nuts for him. Hes pro hunting , a 2nd Amendment guy , not all liberal nonsense.

I agree. He was a strong candidate because he'd help balance the ticket. Harris is the progressive, you'd think she could keep them in her fold and get a more moderate to grab more independent, undecided voters.

Walz is as much a commie as Kammy so its like two peas in a pod and the anti-Semites are placated, though they will try to play both sides of the Israeli vs Iran axis 'til the election.

Who knows, maybe it's a smart move. If most of the energy on the Dem side is on the far left, try to keep them happy so there isn't a scene at the convention and they mobilize to vote. Then try to get the media to portray Kamala as a centrist, middle of the road "tough on crime" prosecutor to hoodwink the independent voters.

This will be interesting to watch, and see how all this plays out. Kamala did not show herself to be a good campaigner during the 2020 primaries, but maybe she'll have better handlers this time.

I'm pretty sure they are all cardboard cutouts. When they start thinking of the people they get shot. Maybe Shapiro lost out because they nearly shot a former president in his state.
