I posted recently about my shoulder issue. Probably going to go under the knife sooner or later. Hoping to put it off until spring. In the meantime I don't feel like going to shit. I have tinkered with some light/high rep DB's for bench. Seems there's less pressure on the shoulder with close grip DB's as long as my palms stay facing each other.
This got me thinking. (here's where it gets funky but stay with me) What if I had a bar that I could rack in a standard bench and have my palms facing in. I don't have a 2" tricep bar. Skullbreakers have always led to tendentious so it's not part of my gym. I have seen a 2" tricep bars but the grip seems to close to bench with for any chest work.
That led to this idea.
What do you think? Anyone ever try this? Anyone have a bar like this that's willing to give it a try? Just do it when no one is around.
