Sorry to again bring you the news of another great loss in the bodybuilding world, but it's being reported that Joe Weider has passed away today at the age of 93. Not many reports on this yet, but his Wiki page has been updated to reflect his passing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Weider

Bodybuilding absolutely would not be what it is today without him and Ben Weider.

Rest in Peace Joe.

The sport wouldn't be where it is today without the wieders.i just wished they had some sort of health plan set up for bbs who have suffered serious health issues in the quest to be the best in the bb.

Yea but hey 93? If I can make it there and be healthy I would die happy. Joe Weider was my 1st weight set as a kid, weider bench bar with plastic concrete filled weights. Damn I'm old...

At my gym, when I deadlift they're all weider plates.
