Hello again...

I posted my stats in the intro section, but I'll repeat for logs sake.

I'm Jenn. A 38-year-old female who lifts in her basement. I'm 128lbs and around 13% BF. I'm currently in the process of a career change to get into personal training (just waiting on my practical assessment + I want to take more courses so I don't suck.)

Recent workout highlights

Saturday
Bench
115lbs x 4
125lbs x 1
105lbs x 7
Bw chin ups x 10, x 7, x 2 sets of 6

Sunday Accessory day
Board press
110lbs x 8
120lbs x 4
125lbs x 3
+ bunch of Back supersets and biceps

Monday
Pasued Buffalo Bar low bar Squats
160lbs x 7
170lbs x 5
175lbs x 3
Back off sets
150lbs x 2 sets of 7
+ Bulgarians, belt squat, leg curls ect

Tuesday
Military Press
80lbs x 5
83lbs x 3 sets of 3
70lbs x 10
Weighted chin ups
21lbs x 4
33lbs x 2
38lbs x 1
+ Incline DB, Lateral Raises, ect

Rested yesterday and today (yoga, foam roll, walks)
I don't usually like 2 rest days in a row, but I had a 5 day stretch and my body could use it
I'll be back at it tomorrow with transformer bar (SB setting) squats

So are you going to do personal training part time to make the transition, or full jump off into it?

Well, I guess to make a short story long, lol...

I was working somewhere that was supposed to eventually be WFH. I don't drive, so I was counting on this to avoid constant uber fees (it was a location with impossible bussing). I lucked out and car pooled with my co worker for a year.
She quit and I got an inheritance at almost the same time, so I thought ok, I can jump into what I've wanted to do my whole life, knowing it's risky or I could pay over half my income in uber costs and stay in a job I hated.

I quit and now I'm going full steam ahead wanting to put everything into a job somehow in fitness.
I don't know what the outcome will be, but I sure as hell hope I don't end up back in an office.
Desk life ain't for me!

That’s awesome to hear. Given the situation makes sense too. Are you going to train with a box gym, or go solo?

I might try the gym route first. There's an option for me to do an apprenticeship at a gym not too far from here once I'm fully certified. I don't think I have the marketing skills to be on my own right away lol

Getting some real world experience will be so much more valuable than your studying. It's adds another layer, real life results vs expectations on paper.

Plus, it looks good on your resumé/experience list to show clients.

Best of luck, kid. I'm rooting for ya!!!
