So i have a nephew that will be turning 1 yr old in a couple of weeks. I had a time capsule custom made with his name, date and when he can open: his 21st birthday. So i'm entrusting his father (my brother) to hold onto it for quite some time and to also seal it when he adds his stuff.
I have come up with something from me: written letter to him and also to his 21st bday person; printed out pictures of him and my mom and him and me, etc.
Will get a local printed paper and put in there.

Thought about a bottle of bourbon or whiskey to sit in there. What is one that can age 20 yrs?

Anyone else have any other cool thoughts to contribute? Thank you!

Born in 2020? Poor kid, off to a bad start.

If it were my nephew I’d get him a Dumpster Fire ornament.

Lots of styles to

Bourbons (most whiskeys in general) don’t continue to “age” after bottling so just pick a good one and seal it up. I like a nice Blanton’s Single Barrel.($45-50)

Buy 50$ worth of bitcoin and put the wallet seeds in the thumbdrive. He will either say...> What the heck is Bitcoin, or he will freak out because it will then be worth thousands!

Get pictures and letters from other family members. Specifically ones that may not be around in another 20 years or so. I do like the Bitcoin idea but I would probably do Ethereum

Pack of Marlboro reds, bottle of Old Grand Dad 114 and a nudie magazine. All things that may be banned in 20 years cause they ain't good for us.

Oh, and some high quality terlit paper!

On a funny sad note, how about a picture of restroom signs?

In 20 years "mens" and "womens" room signs might look like signs of segregation below!

If you're going to go with a bottle I would go with Eagle Rare or Basil Hayden. Def do not do wine. I had some 23 year old merlot on my 21st birthday and it did not taste good.

Slic.

I thought you were kidding till I looked at it twice. Pretty cool. I like the Bourbon idea too.

I received a cool Christmas gift this year .. lost my best friend to cancer at a young 46 yo. A coffee mug with a picture of us silkscreened on Front and back I guess you could say. Was emotional getting it.

Maybe a family pic or two silkscreened on something. It doesn't have to be a mug ... can be most anything.
