I thing your nurse is right on the money. Fo YOU, this is a simple benefits to risk analysis. You either choose to stop the low T side effects by bringing your testosterone levels up to more of a normal. You may have the risk of little or no increases in acne. Or you can avoid the risk in more acne completely and just deal with the low T side effects. You have to make this decision.

Here is how this drug works:
  • In men, Clomid stimulates testosterone production by blocking estrogen receptors in the brain. It tricks the brain into thinking it needs more hormones, which leads to more testosterone and sperm production.
  • Clomid blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, increasing the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormones (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
  • FSH and LH are released into blood circulation, acting on the testes and ovaries to kick start and support their reproductive functions.
Reality - Anytime you increase testosterone levels, it can lead to higher oil production in the skin. This excess oil, along with dead skin cells, can clog pores and cause acne. As already pointed out, E2 levels can cause the same thing in males. So it is important to create an balance of these two hormones. As already pointed out.

Is enclomiphene any different? Absolutely not.

Once a day. Good luck and try to get the blood tested in about 90 days. Let us know the results.

Shower 2x a day to get that oil off your skin. It serves as food for bacteria that cause acne.

There are some very good anti-bacterial washes you can use to get rid of any topical bacteria. Dyna-Hex is one that they use before surgery. It contains Chlorhexidine which is an antiseptic that fights bacteria.
