- In men, Clomid stimulates testosterone production by blocking estrogen receptors in the brain. It tricks the brain into thinking it needs more hormones, which leads to more testosterone and sperm production.
- Clomid blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, increasing the secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormones (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
- FSH and LH are released into blood circulation, acting on the testes and ovaries to kick start and support their reproductive functions.
