I tried IPA about a month ago, tasted like motor oil. I really wanted to like it but just couldnt get used to it.

Certain IPA's can be way to Hoppy, and it kills it. You'd probably do better with Ale's, or Pale Ale's. Something clean and smooth, but just a hint of Hop's and different malts. Try Allgash White, Revolution Bottom up wit, Big wave Golden Ale, If you want to try a bit more hops, try Lagunitas Daytime.

Ipas are my favorite beers by far.
Southern tier makes a couple of great ipas
