What are you all presently doing (if anything) for intra/post workout nutrition?

I'm presently in a cut, so not really doing much of anything, but am transitioning over to a gain phase soon. My pre workout meal, along with intra/post workout plan will be as follows:

Wake up: 2.5 IUs GH
Meal #1: 2 scoops protein blend (about 45g) and 75g oats

About 45 mins later (15-20 mins before workout)
L-carnitine: 500mg
Humalog: 5 IUs

Intra shake: 40 oz. water (consumed during workout)
10g glutamine
6g BCAAs
1 scoop peptopro (27g protein)
50g carbs (Karbolyn)

Post Workout Shake: (30 mins post workout)
55g Whey protein blend, 25g carbs

Meal #2 (about 1 hour later)
10 oz beef, 1 cup white rice or sweet potato

Any comments or feedback are appreciated. I'm not married to this so if anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.

I take 1st Detachment Field Rations as my intra. It is the perfect blend of HBCD/Dextrose (20 g/5g), BCAA and EAA. I have never gone hypo when taking insulin as long as I am sipping on it.

I do not drink post workout shakes or anything. I just eat my post workout meal, which varies depending on if I am in my growth phase, maintenance phase, prep phase and my high day.

So the amount you take will just be scaled based on your insulin intake?

It would, except I always take the same amount of insulin, 5 iu either humalog or novalin r. However, on my high day in the growth season when I know I am going to put down a massive amount of food that day, I will also start the day with 20-40 iu of lantus. Pre-workout meal consists of 45 g protein, 50 g carbs and 5 g fat 45-60 minutes prior. Insulin is taken 15 minutes later. Post workout is about 3.5 hours later and the Field Rations will carry me even when using novalin r. However, if I push it even 15 minutes longer I will start to go hypo.

You ever use Beef Protein Isolate instead of Whey. I switched over about a year ago and like it much better.

Just curious what you like about it? Less gas, taste, or something else? I'm considering the whey post workout rather than a blend because it dumps into the bloodstream faster, at least on paper.

Digestively it’s so much better for me. Plus protein from a meat source is superior to whey.

Have to agree with you on the Beef Isolate as the whey isolate gave me some noticeable gas attacks. The only thing is the beef iso has a little bit of an aftertaste, but tolerable!!
