Coming from Russia it means nothing. Its a country who dont give a fuck about human rights or civil rights.
Ran by a dictator who kills or imprison his opponents.
I agree, Russia is asshole! At the same time, I'm still trying to figure out why we're so vested in Ukraine? I understand it's a large agricultural exporter, but I think they export primarily to Europe and Africa, and so we don't have a huge national interest in that.

I suppose from a military perspective, the war has given us a front row seat on understanding Russia's military tactics, their communications, their supply chain capabilities, their weapons capabilities, etc. But I think by now we've learned all we need to know. Why continue to shuttle all that money over there when it looks like Ukraine will ultimately lose in a slow grind. What's our goal in that? And what happens to Ukraine after, when 30% or more of it's military age male population is gone?

And why is the US funding most of this, when this war is right on Europe's doorstep? I'd think they've got much more interest in containing Russian aggression in Ukraine than we do, and yet they seem happy to throw in a pittance compared to what we're doing. Saying this is a NATO thing doesn't make sense, as Ukraine is not a NATO member. Sure, with Russia in Ukraine, they're on Poland's doorstep, but I don't see any real threat to Poland, and they are a NATO member and I think NATO would invoke Article V in response to any aggression.

My most cynical instincts tell me that the military contractors are making it very lucrative for Congress and the WH to send billions of dollars of military equipment to Ukraine. For them, war is good, and more war is "gooder." Bunch of bastards.

How many?
tell us.
58 politicians have been assassinated in the USA, James Garfield was the 1st president in 1881. 16 in Congress killed, 15 wounded. I believe I posted this already. Easy enough to find with Google.

Maybe this will refresh your memory Tommy......exactly Ukraine is not a NATO member, but let's remember Israel is.

Let's not forget all of the political prisoners our government has persecuted since 2020. Trumps entire family was persecuted, his home was raided with orders to use deadly force by the FBI.

Like with Putin, we will never know. Makes no difference, this is not how political opponents should be treated in any civilized country. We also don't weaponize intelligence agencies, LE and courts to go after political opponents and those who work for them.

As I mentioned in another posting, we have a black ops organization called "PEGASUS" Included as members of this elite team are the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) as well as agents from British, Israeli, Turkish and Danish Intelligence. The mission of Pegasus is to 'align' world leaders and financiers to US policies and standards. US Presidents since Eisenhower have used this team and are under the direct orders of the sitting president.

Did our sitting President not also take home documents? Did Mayorkas also not break the same laws some of Trump's people are sitting in prison for? Did Hillary Clinton not break laws and we were assured that she didn't do it intentionally? Not only have we weaponized the legal system, our laws no longer apply equally to everyone. Trump got accused of treason with no evidence, while Biden wants to put put a bullseye on Trump.
