So, it's my understanding from the article that if something like this worked in humans, it would help "reverse" diabetes (I'm thinking type 1, perhaps even type 2), where the pancreas is simply incapable of manufacturing insulin in sufficient quantities. Very interesting. Looks like the research has been going on for almost 10 years.
