Here is my take on the life extension part.....I take about 20 or so life extension supplements every morning of the year, have used low dose HGH for quite a few years. As I aged from my 40's to late 60's I am shocked when I look into the mirror. I am still getting old, aging didn't stop of even slow. True I look younger than most my age, but my father looked much younger than his age as well, until a certain point and it caught up with him too and he never took any of this stuff. After all of the money I have spent and all the hopes and dreams I don't believe it is possible to slow the aging process or extend life beyond your genetics. As a man, TRT has certainly helped me maintain muscle mass but the HGH and all the friggin' pills I take seem to have been a waste of money. Weight training itself (exercise) helps me stay healthy (in a state of wellness) and out of the doctor's office as well as keeping my heart healthy. But osteoarthritis has reared its painful head and most days I feel like I need to be in a wheel chair. Nothing I have taken seems to slow this down. I watch these commercials of women's products that have proven to keep you younger, the proof they usually have is testimonies from 25 year olds. Then they always put Cheryl Tiegs on advertising all of her products to keep you young. Talk about good genetics combined with plastic surgery. Tiegs is a definitely 1%'er when it come to aging and nothing she sells helped. Good luck on life extension to all of you. I just hope you are a 1%'er too and look younger than you age when you are creeping in on that 70 mark. My advice to you is eat good, exercise 3-5 times a week, get 8-9 hours of sleep and try to cut as much stress as you can out of your life.
There was a study called The TRIIM trial investigated the use of recombinant human growth hormone that showed some positive benefits but the study sample was very small (9 guys). The TRIIM trial provided groundbreaking evidence that biological age (~ 2.5 years) reversal and immune rejuvenation are possible, but larger studies are needed to confirm. Especially since the majority of study show the opposite. Will this change anything with me? Hell no, I have always had the attitude that if 1 of the things I take helps with anything its best to keep taking it all.
That being said, HGH definitely will aide with increased lean muscle mass, help with the reduction of body fat, should help improve skin thickness and possibly bone density but lie extension has still not been proven.
