This IMHO is one of the best VPN's around. It is good for medium security stuff. Maybe 150+ different locations you can use from multiple countries.

If you are just looking to good protection for free, Opera has a browser with a built in VPN. They have three different servers that use, American, China, and Europe. The browser can be set to chose the optimal speed when selecting locations.
TOR is probably the most secure (FREE) as it relays through three different servers. It also uses its own browser with is very secure.

They also have Tails (FREE) which enables you to use Tor from a USB of CD. That way there are absolutely no tracks left on your computer or the one you are using. So it can be used with any computer

The best is to run a VPV and then run Tails or Tor. So you are relaying through 4 connections. Virtually impossible to track especially when all of the connections are encrypted. My VPN has its own encryption and Tor does as well.
Definitely everyone who is a member here should be logging on using a VPN. Something like Opera would be plenty.
