I was just wondering how much more a person in their 40's can push it until gains stop coming. I'm not the biggest guy, never have been. I have more of a fitness build. But I'm curious if those of us in their 40's can still push the envelope and make good gains.

Thoughts?

I'm actually bigger/stronger/faster than I was in my 20's (40 next month) and I've been active all my life. Better living through chemistry is my motto!

I would like to think that in your 40s with maintaining proper diet, and excercise. You would be able to continue growing. The tought of stopping in ten years is scary lol.

Got to listen to your body cuz injuries come about more easily, I think, but the gains come too.

We have the knowledge. We have the supplementational technology.

I'm heading out of the 40's. It all still works :)

I tend to agree with still making gains. My focus is now injury prevention and a little chemical enhancement. I do take a bit more time and warm up a little longer these days.

I'm bigger and still growing. I keep a log book and my weights or reps increase every week. I feel that I have a lot of good years ahead of me still.

What all the fuss guys, I'm a 63years old and still lifts as heavy as an 30year old, you have to take care of your body and your body takes care of you, train wise, eat healthy, REST,be positive, and you will still grow, age is all a figures in numbers.
