Here it is, try these bars on for size.

2 Cups of chocolate protein
1 1/2 cups of rolled oats
3/4 cup of wheat germ
1 cup of All Bran cereal (or other similar)

Mix above dry ingredients in a large bowl . Mix well!

Now,

Add 1 1/2 cup of all natural peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)

Stir/mix.

Add 1 1/2 cup of Honey

Mix until dough forms. When thoroughly mixed, add in 1 cup of skim (or 1%) milk.
Mix/stir until a "sticky" dough is formed and all powder is now mixed well.

Spread dough into a 9x12 pan (or whatever you have available). It all depends on how big/thick you want your bars to be.

Refrigerate for a few hours, then cut into equal portions. Wrap the bars individually in plastic wrap and keep refrigerated.

I also crush peanuts to sprinkle over the top of the dough when first placed in the pan, but you don't need to.

This makes one of (if not the) best homemade protein bars I've ever had. All amounts can be played with to suit ones taste, but this makes consistent good, non-crumbly, healthy bars.

PS: I also add in a half cup of flax seeds just to add in a little more healthy fats in my diet.

Try it, let me know what you think!

I whipped up a batch last night. wrapped them up this morning and had one. Of course I upped the amounts a little as I wanted to make more/thicker bars. I've tried making this without milk and to be honest it wouldn't matter how much honey and PB you put in there it ends up being clumpy and dry. Milk really helps make these bars DECLICIOUS.

Let me know how you find them MindlessWork

Can't wait to try this! Wheat germ was hard to find here!(ontario). Found it at bulk barn. Going to use vanilla powder and throw in a few dark chocolate chips. Thanks for the recipe!

ok first batch in the fridge. Used same recipe but food processed the oats etc. Used ground peanuts in the bar as well as walden no calorie PB to thicken. Also added splenda and then drizzled honey on top and crushed nuts. We will see looks great though.
