Scheduled for Oct 31st.

Been training with a set of adjustable db’s and an flat bench at home. Keeping my upper body in some kind of shape but in light of injuries it’s been a bitch.

Pain and stiffness in the hips suck

Been riding bicycle for cardio. Bought a cool ass Trek hybrid a couple months ago. Hybrid seating position is fairly upright making it possible to ride fairly painless. Although, I have to lower the bike almost horizontal to the ground to get on it (lift a leg over), but once on I’m good lol.

But they’re saying the hip replacement will have me back in the game.

I’m confident it’ll work out well and I can get back at it at a higher level.

Also miss riding the Harley. Too. Fucking painful!

Once the surgery is done I’ll post a rehab thread. Maybe a few old members that may unknowingly be headed in that direction one day will appreciate the info here.

Good luck on the surgery. It seems all us older guys are getting our joints replaced.I've had both knees replaced and having my left shoulder replaced some time after the first of the year.Ive heard people say recovery from hip is quicker than knees.Hopefully you dont get any infections both of my knees got infected. One they had to take all the hardware out until infection was gone.Had the knee put back in last week.Let us know how it goes.
