I get the hiccups bad,
I Googled it the first time after about 2 hr. Called my GP who's a good guy and after he busted my balls, called in a script. I was a good 8 hr in before they started to subside. I was ready with some leftover medication the second time. As soon as they started, I popped a pill.

Like everyone, I have had the hiccups before but these hiccups were hiccups on steroids. Never had them that bad.

One more thing, some Dr's. like to do the replacement from the back side of the hip. Doing it that way causes a lot of dislocations.

Good to know when that conversation comes up.

My boss had his done due to playing rugby for decades. The surgery went well, I guess but the somehow there is a difference in length between his right and left leg. The leg he had surgery on is 1" longer due to how it set afterwards. He's not in pain but he does have to walk with a shim in his one shoe and he's concerned with the long term implications of this as he's back lifting pretty regularly.

He needed it though so it wasn't something he could avoid.

I second the idea of doing your homework on your surgeon. I had total knee replacement 34years ago (yes, I know I'm old...) and they've been great ever since. I realize it's not the same thing but back then knees weren't something worked on often and total knee replacement with 2 cadavers knees put in place of mine was unheard of so it's all about getting a good surgeon.

Glad you knee thing worked out, obviously because I know you train hard AF.

That's fuuked up that he has an inch longer leg. That's the shit that causes a lot of problems in the first place and 1/2" is a lot, his is an inch! Maybe I could have the same Dr. fix my PP, another inch wouldn't be bad. lol

Thanks brother!

No pain there but if I so a butterfly stretch, I can't go far. Most of the pain is in the glute and IT band. My problem is mostly the bone spurs grinding. I get a lot of clicking when I rotate my leg.
Ok something I learned with my knee, shoulder, and hip ……

the popping for me was a stretched tendon just out of the bone groove that it tracks in there popping back in.

Yeah I get that in the inside of my knee. When it pops, it feels better. This is 2 bone spurs rubbing on the femoral head per the MRI.

Update

Some good news. The doctor said although it could possibly be related to the hip degeneration, but that's not where the pain is coming from. Since it was in the glutes and IT band, he felt it was Trochanteric bursitis. He hit me with a cortical steroid, 5 days of Prednisone and recommended seeing a PT to try and figure out what's going on.

Sore as fuuk now the day after. He stuck that needle around a lot. On the 4th area I asked him, How much more of that sht do you have in that syringe?

On a positive note, he thinks I'm a ways off from a hip replacement .

Thanks brothers for all your input.
