Stop being a bunch of pussies and retake your city already. Put your hippie tea down, pick up a bat and beat the terrorist insurgents back before you turn into Iraq and the good old US of A military come in there and show you how shit is done.

Da fuck already.....

AMEN! Here is how these little Marxist pulkes need to be handled...... Ft Collins, Colorado.

We have a high school buddy that lives there...works at some taco place, and he is all for socialism. He wants to start a stuffed bread foodie stand and expand business there....see the irony? You can't do that with socialism, so he in essence is benefitting from capitalism...even though he talks about how it should be rid of in the USA....lol.

Anyway, he tries to play off the mess there by saying, it's just a few blocks downtown. We bag on his ass all day. I mean, what if just a "few blocks" where he lives were getting vandalized and burned...hey, it's just a few blocks, right? He chalks it up to just a few kids who have rich parents and they are out rebelling....yea, okay.

Anybody see the old lady they threw paint on? Pretty damn sad, she was super old, and IIRC, wasn't she even using a walker? Maybe that was a second person.

He is from Cali, then he lived up in Idaho with another friend of ours....Lewiston/Clarkston area before chasing a girl over to Portland over 10 years ago.

Good guy, a brother to me, but i'd bash his face in if I seen him in person doing any of this....likewise, i'd be the first to give my hand and life if he was a victim...though he probably reaps what he sows.

But yea....the residents there need to grow some balls and hairy ovaries.

It's interesting to see how some of the major newspapers are subtly shifting their coverage of the riots. (I mean, peaceful protests). A couple of weeks ago, you couldn't even get the networks to admit that any violence was occurring. If you look carefully at the news, admissions are being made that violence is occurring, but it's just a small group of white extremists (not admitting that it Antifa anarchists and communists).

My guess is the DNC is getting some reliable polling that's telling them the violence is not registering well with independent voters and soccer moms.

Plus, you're starting to see aggressive local police actions as Antifa starts moving toward residential neighborhoods. You know, voters. The best thing to happen will be if the residents of those neighborhoods take aggressive stands to defend their community. It's terrible PR for Antifa, and their funding starts to dry up. Plus, when residents put the beatdown on the punks, the cops need to take their time in responding, and let things play out. Then they can come in and cuff the momma's boy basement dwellers.

Yeah, it does poll really badly. The violence registers with the extremists, the fans of "the squad", Marxists, Fascists, etc. The regular people think its ridiculous, and the regular people are the ones who decide elections.

Trump has his base that will vote for him no matter what. Biden has his base that will do the same, as long as he doesn't alienate Bernie's bros. That leaves about 20-25% of the people in the middle who just want safe neighborhoods, a good economy, and a better life for their kids. It's hard to see how the craziness in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, etc. plays well with that voting demographic.

In general, why do you care about Portland? Sincere question.

The vast majority of the thousands involved in protests / uprises are Portlanders.
It shouldn’t be an all out mad max (which it isn’t),but neither should it be a totalitarian authority boot city either. I’m not much a fan of either side’s agenda, but I’d rather have dangerous freedom than police state enslavement.

How about a city where you can operate your business without some dickwads throwing a brick through your window every evening? Why should a business owner have to be cleaning up f-bomb graffiti off the walls of their building regularly?

No one is asking for police state enslavement, they just want their community back. The downtown is quickly turning into a total shithole. And all those small mom and pop businesses are going to have to calculate whether it's worth it to return and re-open. I suspect insurance rates will be rising steeply if you can even get insurance for your business down there.

The protesters are not destroying their moms' basements. They're destroying the businesses of their fellow citizens. As they are anarchists and communists they don't want capitalism to succeed. That is until they get hungry, but they figure mom will make them a hot pocket while they're trying to the high score on their video game.

Small business owners ought to be more pissed off about govt theft to operate their biz. Insane taxes, exorbitant fees, licensure, etc... while govt constantly provides boosts to big corp monopolies that make doing small biz increasingly prohibitive.
Fuck the fraction of protestors who destroy private property — but fuck govt a trillion times more.

"protesters"
Calling them protesters is the same as calling rape making love.
I see you are one of them who support destroying property and business.
You are even making excuses and try to deflect by blaming the government for charging taxes and fees.

Let us know your experience with starting and running your own business.
Want to hear how you calculated into your cost of having your business destroyed because someone got their feelings hurt.

I won't argue with everything TB said in his post, but to say that about Portland is not accurate. If you've ever spent any time in downtown Portland, it's filled with mom and pop eclectic businesses. It's hardly a "big corporate America" enclave. You'll see as many small coffee shops and micro brew pubs there than Starbucks and TGI Fridays or other type chain restaurant. And yet Antifa is burning all that down....

It's funny, the anarchists want to burn the system down, but when you ask them what they want to put in its place, they're not really sure. They want another Seattle CHOP zone, which turned into a total hellhole within about 4 days. LOL

Timothy McVeigh targeted the Federal Bldg in Oklahoma City in 1995 with his DIY fertilizer bomb. Among the 168 dead and 600+ injured were many from the kiddie day care for Federal employees who worked in that building.
They were not his real targets, but they were dead and injured anyway.

McVeigh called that "collateral damage."

Why do I care? Because it disgusts me to watch these little bitches run around with their self righteousness trying to burn shit down and hurt people who's job it is to protect others .
Police state enslavement? You've got to be kidding me. Portland was far from a police state prior to these riots, which have nothing to do with a black felon dying in Minnesota btw. Last black person I saw in Portland was a reporter and he was stabbed by some little punk bitch who was suited up like he was going to play football, hockey, paintball and probably never played a sport in it's live, most likely has handled plenty of balls though.
