Not really counting calories or macros, but just wondering if this diet seems ideal for weightloss

I am a heavy dude, 95kg 5'10 and aim to cut to low to mid 80s

My diet as of right now is

Morning
Meal 1 Oats mixed with water
Meal 2 Banana/orange
Meal 3 Brown rice with beef/chicken or fish with vegetables
Meal 4 Grilled chicken with lettuce salad, 2 eggs
Meal 5 Grapes and mixed nuts

Its been six days on this diet, not gonna lie it is pretty brutal considering i have been on a terrible, mostly junk filled diet the past few years.
I plan to have one cheat meal every week

I also plan to buy some protein too in the future and have a shake in between meals (after I train)

Any advice or feedback is appreciated

Many won’t fully agree with this, but based on the example you shared and your desired goal, I recommend you increase / prioritize your protein intake and minimize your current volume of carbs. 70-80% protein and fat, 20-30% carb. And the higher you bump that protein and fat ratio vs carbs, the quicker your results will be. But I’m suggesting a bit easier ratio for such a transition of eating style.
This will allow you to both drop your body weight in the preferred manner: losing fat while sparing / building lean tissue > better body composition.
By consuming the diet you shared, you can certainly lose weight if your caloric intake is reduced along with an increased energy expenditure — but your body composition won’t be nearly as favorable as it will with what I’ve suggested.

I would caution against a cheat meal if you have a history of dietary indiscretion. For me (and you may be different), I am very familiar with cravings and losing the battle. Once you get momentum with a new way of eating, it is far better to leave your old habits in the past. A cheat meal not only interrupts progress but can very easily develop into a "cheat night," "cheat day," and finally the "cheat weekend." Just leave it behind. Just eat or try something different that is still clean and adheres to your goals. I think it's fine to eat a few hundred extra calories (or more) once a week. In fact, I think it can be beneficial, but leave those old foods behind.

I think it's also well worth getting a food sensitivity test (MRT, not an IgG or IgE test). That way you can clobber major sources of inflammation with your dietary changes.

Testboner is 100% correct. One suggestion consistent with his comments is to change meals 2 and 5. Make meal 2 a protein shake if whole food meal is logistically challenging at that time of day. Meal 5 should be a protein and mixed nuts. I love grapes, but that's a ton of sugar.

Also, the increase in protein and fats will make you feel less hungry, which is a huge plus in staying the course over the entirety of your cut.

Think we were bamboozled with this. You'll see these occasionally, with same person simultaneously posting on UGBB. Then they never come back. Totally fake to spike activity... a "value added service."

But he loves benching. How could you resist helping?

Anyways, that diet was absolute trash. Even a quick google search would have told him that.

Here's another from yesterday, which is what made me remember this one. How "coincidental" a mod answers it there. I don't mind wasting time; it's all I do. But I'd rather not waste it on fuckery.

First of all what is he talking about on his spreadsheet? Did he upload some file that people are supposed to download and look at his workout?? If so anybody that's done this better run a virus scan and a malware scan to make sure that they haven't taken over your computer. Depending on the file type it is very easy to hide within the file as soon as it opens it initiates and you're pretty much screwed. Unfortunately I know this from experience.

If this dude, take into an account he's 21 years old, is posting in multiple places just trying to get answers the confusing part to me is he's posting and then never coming back to get any of the information that's provided which is a complete waste of time.

Personally I think he's running a long scam. Be very careful of anything that he is uploading. If he didn't put a virus in the first one he may gain some confidence from people and then he'll load something in the next spreadsheet and whoever he catches may find that their computer is now under his control.

Personally I don't like these types of posts because it makes me very suspicious of who they are.

I dunno. I think he probably created that in Google Sheets so is calling it a spreadsheet. But I see posts like this occasionally, and given the traffic "challenges" of the other place, it seems to have ramped up. Maybe Mugzy should take care of his shit instead of just sitting back with his balls hanging out waiting for the fluffers. It's always the same type of post. It's a beginner-type post. They post only here and UGBB. It gets people replying. It serves its purpose, but "they" never come back to follow-up. Ever. Now the fact I'm calling it out may very well get the true poster pissed off and replying to "prove me wrong." I don't like fake shit. ChatGPT has been around a lot longer than a lot of people think. This kind of post, including the workout and "spreadsheet" are not beyond its capability to create with the right prompts.

Smilies can be sort of ambiguous. I don't know enough to give yours a "Like," or an "Angry," so I went with "Wow." It does provoke thought.

UG is a mystery to me, I was there for just a few yrs as POB left and JIN replaced him, but by the time of the Meso/Rx insurgency it became tiresome to my old ass.

Still some great people there (I guess?), and more than a few are here now ;).

You must have made your exit as I entered. I was part of the Meso migration as well, but I had presence other places as well. I had never seen the majority of those that transitioned after Millard's mass woke, virtue signaling crusade (he was trying to impress some liberal, blogging ho' at the time). Not sure he ever got the pegging he wanted, but at least he still had Type-II to swap nutsack swings with. UGBB is an animated corpse at this point. You just have two mods that refuse to let it die with dignity.

Oh I would disagree that there are still great people there. Most of the reds are dicks and they know it. It's why they never post here in spite of some having accounts. Had an exception pop up here tonight, though. Just keeping it real. I'm drunk and dgaf.

Lol. I was aware that Millard's alleged woke-ish ways may have triggered the insurgency, but I missed the part with the woke ho' Can you hook me up, her handle, email, anything?! I might enjoy a ho' who is woke but not broke ... unless the two of us could be arrested for inbreeding o_O.

If we two did slightly overlap, I was there when both those Mods were there, but newly installed. Part of why I left was that they seemed to have been handed an unruly mob, with little support from above. My feelings at that time were of sympathy, but, whatever, I'm gone now.
