I really like doing deads with a hex bar (or trap bar). Always have. I realize they hit slightly different parts of the body. Straight bar is mainly hams and lower back and the hex is quad predominant. What I really like is being able to center the bar with my body. I started doing them again back in April, and I'm about to get back into the numbers I was hitting 10 years ago. I realize it's not a power lifter movement, but I've never been a power lifter.
Does anyone else prefer dead with a hex bar?
