Liza Reichenberger aka the mighty Herculiza, won the heavyweight class at the prestigious IFPA Pro Yorton Cup International Natural Bodybuilding Championships held in conjunction with the OCB Amateur National Championships on Saturday, October 23, at Chevy Chase High in Bethesda, Maryland.

A San Mateo resident, Reichenberger, 50, has been competing for more than 25 years and proved, once again, that she is still at the top of her game. She is a previous winner of the 2004 Musclemania World Championships, won the WNBF World Heavyweight Championship in 2005, and was WNBF Natural Universe winner in 2008.

Patricia Beckman of Kansas won the overall title, and Philip Ricardo, Jr., (Rico) of Camp Pendleton took the top prize in the men’s division. Sacramento's Chrissy Zmijewski, one of the premier figure competitors in the world, finished second in the pro figure tall class.

The Yorton Cup represents the zenith of natural bodybuilding awarded by the Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders (OCB) and the International Fitness and Physique Association (IFPA). The Yorton Cup trophy stands around two-and-a-half feet tall, and its wooden four-tiered base displays metals shields around it engraved with the names of previous winners since the event's inception in 2004. The competition was named the Yorton Cup because of its historical significance of the name referring to bodybuilding icon Chet Yorton who promoted the first-ever drug-tested physique competition in 1978.

(Yorton, a drug-free athlete during his entire bodybuilding career, won the IFBB Mr. America and NABBA Mr. Universe titles in 1966. In 1975 he claimed the NABBA Pro Mr. Universe Tall class title. He is one of only three men in history to defeat the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yorton went on to organize the first natural bodybuilding federation in 1977 - the Natural Bodybuilder’s Association (NBA) - and conducted the first-ever drug tested bodybuilding competition - the NBA Natural Mr. America - on March 4-5, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was inducted into the U.S. Natural Bodybuilding Hall of Fame in 2008).
