I have done a GLP-1 and it is not working, and I really do not like the side effects. I love to lift weights and do so 5 days per week. also, some cardio, I like to take a 35 lb backpack and hit the hills.. I have looked closely at the David Goggins routine that he used to shed 100 lbs in only 3 months... I do not need to loose that much.. about 40 lbs. He did this with cardio and "cardio like" weights... super high reps with moderate weight... like 100 reps. what I cannot decide is to do like Chest/legs/back for 600 reps on machines. or just one body part per session. I think the full body thing would be best. Opinions? Anyone, I am looking for something new, the same old thing is not working.

I think your idea will work if you stick with it and religiously execute the plan. Full body workout with high reps 3x/week is great to lose weight and tone up. You likely won't gain any muscle, but it sounds like right now you're more interested in dropping the 40 pounds in a relatively short amount of time (i.e., 3 months). That is doable.

Make sure your protein intake is about 1g per pound each day. Use your target weight for this number. If you target weight is 190, make sure you're taking in at least 190g of protein per day to help reduce the amount of muscle loss in this cut phase. If you want that number to be a little higher (e.g., 1.25g/pound), that'll work as well.

Keep yourself hydrated, and stick with the GLP-1. Which one are you presently using and how are you dosing it?
