Greg's Log - Episode IV: A New Hope

    Starting a new thread, posts will mostly be my random musings about my training, nutrition, motorcycles, etc...
    I've been a member I think since 2012, so most will remember my background... I haven't been very active of late, but I do still read and follow some threads still!

    Here's a little vid I did last year, hope you like it...

    Since 2010 I've trained Physique, Track & Field (Master's 100M Sprints), Krav Maga and back to Physique.
    I'd really love to try the Classic Physique Division this year (NPC Midwest), so... there's the goal...

    I'll be 57 in Nov, 5'8" and 185
    Current split is a 5 day and I throw in a 6th day extra credit Leg session on Sat usually (trying to bring up my legs).

    Off to do Legs after work... more to come

    Wednesday I work legs...
    I'm doing 3x10 sets w/90-120sec rest
    Then 3x10 run the rack no rest

    Leg extensions
    Super squats
    Single leg press
    Seated leg curls
    Kneeling leg curls
    Seated calf raises
    BW standing calf raises (3 sets to fail)

    Sugars pre: 128
    Sugars post: 96
    Burn baby burn...

    After already hitting Chest/Back/Legs this week I normally take Thursday off to recover... But...

    Here's my shoulder workout for today:
    Machine Shoulder Press
    Seated Ahren's Press
    Incline Bench Front Raise
    Seated DB Lateral Raises
    Cable Rope Upright Row
    Standing Cable Rear Delt Fly

    3x10 sets plus 3x10 sets RTR
    TUT style... 1 concentric, 3 eccentric

    I like this, I've responded well with it and have used TUT quite a bit after my elbow dislocation and my ever decreasing shoulder ROM...

    Fasted sugars this am: 111
    Slightly higher post, it happens occasionally... I don't dwell on it, just an adjustment in the following meals/snacks...

    If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been training Krav Maga?

    I did roughly 6mo... Then had to leave the school, it was pricey... I had lost my job due to downsizing so I was scrimping along...

    I'll go back when I'm able, I loved it...

    Morning waking fasted sugars: 101 (rare) perfect!
    Post w/o: 135 (not terrible)
    Post meal was protein

    Arm Blast...
    Close Grip Bench Press
    Incline DB Curls
    Cable Rev Grip Tri Pushdown
    DB Cross Body Hammers
    DB One Arm Tri Extension
    DB One Arm Concentration Curls
    Close Grip Pushups to fail

    Sufficiently pumped and ready for the work day!

    It's been a crazy week+, my MIL passed, I've got a new grandson (that makes 7 now), my 36 wedding anniversary...

    Workouts have been sporadic, nutritions' been ok, time to get back after it!

    And bonus, here's a pic of my wheels, they're strong and fast, but lack size...

    Did a push/pull workout tonight, hadn't eaten properly before and I felt it... But still, pushed though and feel good...[​IMG]
