I saw him a few times back in my 20-30s and he was always a super chill dude. He would ask for audience requests and play stuff you'd never hear in concert otherwise. He actually thanked us one night for asking for "Old Dan's Records" which he said he hadn't played live since the 70s. One of Canada's finest R.I.P.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is one of his best. Very moving and much appreciated by the surviving families of drowned crew.
