How are they handling all of theses deaths?...Are people actually having funerals?...Seems like that would be an issue?....

It is an issue. I'll paste a post of mine from recently on another board.

Not even a funeral

Well coronavirus has caused the funeral home to not have services.

My fathers wife, 42 yrs together, died a few days ago. Because of the restrictions in his state as well as most, we are not able to have a service for her burial.

Sad as hell for my pop. He is terminally ill as well and cant even have friends or family gather to visit or comfort him.

A good vaccine for this shit soon would certainly be nice.

Sad to hear that Navy Chief. My bosses father died Friday morning from a 13 year battle with cancer. His family was not able to see him in the hospital. No doubt they will not be allowed to have a funeral either.

Not sure how the bodies get disposed of after death due to coronavirus. I suspect due to the bodies remaining infectious they most likely will be incinerated instead. What a sad way if families cannot have a funeral for their deceased loved ones.

I was at a funeral for MIL over the weekend. Had social distancing restrictions that were kinda ignored by mourners. And to enter the funeral home you had to have a mask on. Weird shit but it went on.

Was not a C19 death, just a very old lady with Alzheimer’s.

Appreciate the comments brothers.
She had cancer and we expected her to pass before she did, but the timing was just such, that it was the beginning of lockdowns all over and none really had a plan yet for this kinda thing yet.

Gotta be careful with cremations as the virus can be aerosolized when blood and tissue are burned or cauterized.

1400+* incinerators, and directors who take proper (and required by law) precautions, make cremation totally viable.

Third-world countries burning bodies in a community pit, not so much.

I dated a mortician once. Super hot. Not weird at all, believe it or not. Her dad was a director and she grew up around the business. Once she was old enough and proficient, she would help do makeup for open casket. She never left the family business and she makes absolute bank. Anyway, I read your post an hour ago and it made me curious so I texted her.
