I've been slacking here with not drinking lately, finally got to get out and have a few.

Had a Founders Backwoods Bastard, it's a scotch ale, 10.2%, aged in bourbon barrels. It's strong, you can taste the alcohol in it, raisiny sort of creamy, very nice tasting, not overpowering like some scotch ales. Give it a go if you see it.

That sounds delicious. Never had that one but I did have a beer called "hogs head hooch" that was aged bourbon barrels and it was great

Oh goodness. Never imagined I'd find beer reviews on this site. :-bd I live in Beer City USA. Founders Brewery is in my back yard. Founders Breakfast Stout this time of year is my cheat meal.

They just released this stuff again in Oakland County a couple weeks ago. I picked up two bottles of it. That's all I could find.
I'm waiting for the right time with the right company to crack them open and sample it.
