Liz Parrish has been in the news recently for personally undergoing some clandestine gene therapy to encourage follistatin production. It's unclear exactly what the therapy was or how much follistatin it will cause her to produce.

follistatin is sort of the "opposite" of myostatin and it encourages muscle growth.

Here's an idea of what follistatin can do to mice. http://imgur.com/9mnu4Gn

How long until pros are doing this? Who here is ready to book a ticket to leave humanity behind?

This is very interesting and got me looking into it a bit. http://www.pnas.org/content/104/6/1835.long

A sort of TLDR of the study: they found that while hypertrophy was significant, force production was not congruent. Mitochondrial numbers were thought to be depleted (or at least not proportionate to the new muscle) which would have a negative impact on basically the entire function of the muscle. That is to say, you can be really big but you won't be particularly useful.

Clearly this would be difficult to get your hands on but just remember, anything you put in your body that stimulates unnatural rapid growth within tissue isn't limited to just growing the good things...
