Have you looked to see if Bimmercode can disable that "feature" for you? I turned off some things with our X5M and X3M40 that were annoying. There are no warranty issues yet only crappy thing is you have to recode after every software update.

As far as I know, it's only changeable with an unlocked ECU. I've actually got Bimmercode and love it for a few quality-of-life changed like the disabling startup nag, seatbelt warning, and the fake cabin noise. Maybe disabling that cold start roar is possible in advanced mode, but so far as I've been able to research, no one is giving up the info.

I have a very low tech way of suppressing the cold start noise. I have some hollow pool noodles the exact diameter of the exhaust that I cut up and can insert before starting. It does a great job of reducing the noise. Just have to remember to remove them after the roar subsides in 20-30 seconds.

I'm also passionate about cars and I recently bought a Porsche 911. I still can't believe it, I've been dreaming so much about this car.

Sure you did. Just three more posts, and you can post your link.

I love this car. But I need a goddamn butt horn to get in it! Not too hard to get out but shit I call this thing my blue bullet. It's a poor man's BMW/Audi as kia engineers formerly from BMW and Audi designed it.

I've been wanting to get a sport car for a long time. We always buy cars that will make us more comfortable with the kids. Now we have a volvo v90 crosscountry, and it's not bad at all. But I want something smaller and sportier.

Congrats on the new Stinger GT2! The 2023 model is a beast and definitely worth the splurge. I get the allure – I’m passionate about cars too. I recently bought an Audi RS6 and went through a similar journey. Finding the best price was tricky since I didn’t know where to look for reliable quotes.

So what happened to the RS6 you said you just bought?
